Cassandra Domingo spoke to psychology leaders across the east coast after her first year at SUNY Broome.
“It’s exciting to think about being on the scientific frontier,” she said. “Now I have the courage to take more chances and I’m not as afraid of making mistakes. We’re trained to believe that failure is the end of the world when it’s actually the first step toward success.”
The 19-year-old student presented her research on the effectiveness of peer-assisted study sessions pertaining at the Teaching of Psychology Eastern Conference last June. The presentation was evaluated by professionals already established in their careers.
